It’s time once again for our monthly PFS Smackdown at Valhalla’s Gate in Columbia, Missouri. We will meet on September 7th, 2019. As things get rolling along for Pathfinder Second Edition, we are adding another table to each of our time slots due to expected player demand. This month we will have two tables of Pathfinder Second Edition (PFS2) and one table of Pathfinder First Edition (PFS1) in each time slot.
In the 11:00 AM slot we will have:
PFS1 6-14 Scions of the Sky Key, Part II: Kaava Quarry (Tier 1-5)
PFS2 1-01 The Absalom Initiation (Tier 1-4) (Repeatable)
PFS2 1-02 The Mosquito Witch (Tier 1-4)
In the 3:00 PM slot we will have:
PFS1 5-02 The Wardstone Patrol (Tier 3-7)
PFS2 1-02 The Mosquito Witch (Tier 1-4)
PFS2 1-03 Escaping the Grave (Tier 1-4)
The Warhorn sign up page is ready for you right now! Pregens are available for those who need them. We will be offering a PFS2 Character Building Seminar at the October PFS Smackdown combined with PFS2 Quest 1A: The Sandstone Secret. Go ahead and bring a friend now and let them try out the game with a pregen. If they like how the game plays, they will be ready to come to the October Smackdown to build their first characters.
Remember, you can pretty much rebuild all first level characters between sessions right up until you play your first second level session for that character.
Also, check out the new PFS2 Guild Guide. Org Play is revamping everything right now so the site is in a state of flux, but the new website will allow for faster changes and additions instead of an annual guide like PFS1 uses. It will be put into a pdf format for easier searching and portability.

Don’t forget, the Rolla Pathfinder Society and Gaming Association is having their Fall convention September 20-22. You can see their events on their Warhorn page. Several of us will be playing sessions and running PFS1 and 2 scenarios there. They are going to have the ultimate capstone multi-table scenario 10-98 Siege of Gallowspire on the 21st.
Finally, the first Lost Omens book has been released! Lost Omens World Guide was supposed to be out August 1st, but a printing error delayed its release until this week. Please note that nothing in LOWG is PFS2 legal until it has been sanctioned. Sanctioning is in process as is sanctioning for The Fall of Plaguestone and the Age of Ashes Adventure Path.
