Sanctioning News!

Good evening, Pathfinders! I have some good news for everyone who has these books. As of 3:00 PM this afternoon, both are officially sanctioned for use in the Pathfinder Society Second Edition (PFS2) campaign. To find out what is and isn’t allowed in the campaign from these two books as well as any other Second Edition book that has been published so far, just go to the Additional Resources: Character Options page which I have conveniently linked for you. Scroll down on the page and you will see two lists of books. Scroll below them and you will find another list of books to click on, all of which have sanctioned content for the campaign.

For quick reference, both the Inventor and Gunslinger classes are available for play. There are some access requirements for both classes, mainly starting locations for the characters which match up with the lore of the campaign. The following is an example of that: Characters with a Home Region of Alkenstar, Dongun Hold, or the Shackles have access to all black powder guns, ammunition and related accessories; and all archetypes from Chapter 3 with the exception of beast gunner, fireworks technician, and spellshot. Basically, if you want your gunslinger to be able to use black powder guns, the character has to be from one of those three Home Regions. It is not open to discussion.

There are some boons which give access to a lot of items from the books as well. If you want to know what the boons are, you can go to the Boons tab of your My Organized Play page to see how much they cost. If you want to read the text of the boons and find out what the actual items are, go to the Pathfinder Society FAQ page which I have conveniently linked for you. Those boons are only 20 AcP.

Poppet

But wait! We’re not done! There are also two more ancestries to add to the ever-growing list of playable ancestries in the game. The automaton (G&G) and poppet (LO:TGB) cost 160 AcP each as they are Rare ancestries. Remember, you earn AcP for playing and GMing Pathfinder Society Second Edition sessions.

Two more Lost Omens books, Absalom: City of Lost Omens and Monsters of Myth are coming out next month. Sanctioning for those books is already in the works, so it should not take too long for those to become part of the campaign.

Quick Schedule Notes:

November 26 – Black Friday PFS2 & D&D 5e at Tri-States Games & Hobbies in Quincy

December 2, 9, 16 – PFS2 at Game Arena in Hannibal

December 4 – Absalom Lodge “Holiday” Conclave at Tri-States Games & Hobbies in Quincy

December 11 – PFS Smackdown at Valhalla’s Gate in Columbia

That’s all I have for now! The campaign continues to grow!
