Greetings again, Adventurers! Our Gryffyn Flight! lodge in Hannibal, Missouri recently completed the first book of the Pathfinder Second Edition Adventure Path, Ruins of Gauntlight which is part of the three book AP – Abomination Vaults. We are going to resume play with Book 2 in late January once school resumes for MACC, but in the meantime, we’re going to have some fun with Pathfinder Society 2e. We did take off a week for Thanksgiving, so we’re ready for a three week run heading into Christmas.
This Thursday, December 2nd, we are offering two PFS2 scenarios. The primary table will be 1-02 The Mosquito Witch. Decades ago, witnesses reported a fearsome cryptid outside of the quiet River Kingdoms town of Shimmerford. Dubbed the Mosquito Witch, it was rarely seen since and quickly became a beloved local legend that the town celebrates and promotes to attract visitors. But when recent attacks began savaging livestock and townsfolk alike, many have started believing the Mosquito Witch was real all along. The PCs travel to Shimmerford to unravel the cryptid mystery, but might they just become the witch’s next victim? This scenario is a Levels 1-4 tier adventure.
The back up table will be Intro #1 – The Second Confirmation. A Pathfinder Society initiate goes missing on their Confirmation mission to become a fully-fledged field agent. With no update on the initiate’s whereabouts, the Society assembles a group of initiates into a rare group Confirmation in order to spearhead a rescue. It’s up to a new generation of heroes to save one of their own, and potentially make a few big discoveries along the way! This is a great introductory scenario to PFS2 and is a Levels 1-2 tier adventure.
The Warhorn signup page is ready for you to reserve your seat for this week’s tables. Remember that 1-02 is the primary table with Intro #1 as the backup. This way we definitely have the first table running with the second table firing up if we have enough players. The holiday season always causes some wild attendance fluctuations, but we can easily accommodate changes.
Gryffyn Flight! is our newest Organized Play lodge in the League of Aroden area which covers a pretty large swath of Northern Missouri and some of West-Central Illinois. It meets every Thursday at Game Arena in downtown Hannibal, Missouri. We usually have people at the store around 5 PM and tables fire up at 6 PM. New Players are always welcome. We have a pretty consistent core of players and GMs which gives us a lot of versatility as to what we can offer for play most weeks.
