Väl mött, äventyrare! It’s time to take a look at the Pathfinder Society events happening in the League of Aroden for March of 2023. We’ve got plenty of gaming goodness for you to enjoy as always. You can quickly see what is available via our Google Calendar which we have connected to the League of Aroden website on the right hand side. Be sure to register on our new League of Aroden Warhorn page and sign up to play any of these sessions so we can be sure to have enough GMs on hand. The links on each of the scenarios in this blog entry will take you to each table’s Warhorn entry on our League of Aroden Warhorn page.

Down in Columbia, we’ve got two sessions on tap for Saturday, March 11th at Valhalla’s Gate. First up is Intro #1 – The Second Confirmation for L1-2 characters. This one is repeatable meaning you can play it over and over again with a different character each time. It is a very good scenario to introduce characters to the Pathfinder Society itself. Also, we have a table of 3-11 No Time for Treason (3-6).
The Pathfinder Society has sent the PCs to the city of Oppara, capital of Taldor, for a clandestine meeting with Gloriana Morilla, a trusted ally who bears dire news. She reports that Venture-Captain Muesello has gone into hiding following a strange series of crimes during which the perpetrators used wayfinders, the magical compasses that are among the Pathfinders’ most iconic tools. Perhaps more troubling, these wayfinders each bear signs of Muesello’s unique tinkering, and all of the crimes have targeted the assets and allies of Grand Princess Eutropia Stavian, the nation’s new monarch.
With the crime spree steadily escalating and Muesello suspiciously evading her agents at every turn, Gloriana Morilla needs a group of skilled Pathfinders to investigate the recent crimes and track down the wayward venture-captain.
Both tables will kick off after 11 AM following player mustering.

Up in Kirksville, we have two different dates, each with their own scenarios. The first date is part of the NEMO Guild of Geekery’s Sunday gaming on March 12th at the Adair County Annex Building. We are offering Intro #2 – United In Purpose (1-2R). It is also a repeatable scenario and loosely continues the story from Intro #1. When a group of Pathfinder Society initiates recently completed their Confirmation and rescued a fellow Pathfinder, they also uncovered a host of ruins belonging to an ancient civilization. Now, the Society’s major factions have sent their foremost experts and leaders to begin coordinating a thorough investigation of the ruins. Strong and savvy field agents are needed to begin uncovering the secrets hidden within these ruins.
On Saturday, March 18th we are offering 1-03 Escaping the Grave (1-4) as part of the Adair County Library’s Gaming Day. This will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Kirksville. We played there last month and it was really nice. I think we are going to have a good place to play there for some time. I really enjoyed running this scenario when it first came out and it has become an iconic example of how good PFS2 is ever since.
The Whispering Tyrant has escaped Gallowspire and ravaged the lands of Lastwall. Although the nation managed to evacuate many civilians, there are still refugees, Pathfinders, and irreplaceable cultural treasures trapped in this undead-ridden realm known as the Gravelands. The PCs are part of the Society’s efforts to infiltrate these dangerous lands, rescue the Pathfinders missing in action, and recover what historical texts and treasures they can. Just be quick! Every hour behind enemy lines increases the chance a nearby army learns of the PCs’ mission.
Both Kirksville events begin at 1 PM.

Over in Quincy on March 25th at Tri-States Games & Hobbies, we will have a few tables beginning at noon and 5 PM. Our Noon table is 2-21 In Pursuit of Water (1-4). The Pathfinder Society sends the PCs to the Thuvian city of Aspenthar, where they learn that div-worshipping cultists have taken violent measures to secure the ancient keys to a mysterious site out in the desert. With one of the keys in their possession, the Pathfinders travel deep into the desert to find this site and stop the cultists from bringing their destructive plan to fruition.
We didn’t have enough players to run this table last month due to scheduling and Covid concerns for some players, so we are offering it again this month. It is 3-16 Escape from Oppara (3-6).
In the city of Oppara, the Pathfinder Society has been investigating a recent crime spree that targeted the assets and allies of Grand Princess Eutropia, Taldor’s new monarch who came to power following the War for the Crown. The Society has learned of the group responsible for these crimes, but it has more work to do if it’s going to untangle the web of deception and get to the heart of the treasonous conspiracy. Gloriana Morilla, a trusted ally and former Pathfinder leader, has concocted a plan to draw out the Society’s enemies. For her plan to work, she’s going to need agents who are willing to take some risks, as there’s no telling what sinister forces might be responsible for the recent crimes in Oppara.
The plan starts like this: first, try to flee the city… but make sure they see you doing it!
